We shared 12 of our One Thoughts last week, and it reminded us how much we come back to these simple little ideas ourselves.
They aren’t rules, and they definitely aren’t things we have completely figured out. They’re more like reminders we’ve collected along the way—thoughts that help us reset, change direction, keep going, or just look at something from a different angle.
So this week, we pulled together 12 more.
Some are about pushing yourself a little. Some are about slowing down. Some are about letting go of the idea that everything has to happen on a certain timeline. Like the last collection, you may connect with all of them, a few of them, or maybe just one.
And sometimes one is enough.

01 Music brings back memories and social media erases them.
Your most fond memories can be triggered by a song but not a TikTok video..

02 Phones down during a meal, enjoy the conversation.
Be present and enjoy the company.

03 Turn off the tv.
Sometimes silence is ok.

04 Try the local flavor.
Maybe the most delicious meals or snacks are the most unexpected. Try the fry bread, boudin or kolache.

05 Take the trip.
Stop wishing about your dream trip and just plan and do it.

06 Sometimes a dirt road IS the best way.
A reminder we need sometimes.

07 Hold the door open.
The Golden Rule: treat others how you want to be treated.

08 There are way more small towns than big cities.
Go out and explore them all.

09 Always obey roadside construction people.
Slow down and give them a break.

10 Stop taking videos you’ll never watch.
Be present and live the moment.

11 God gave us minds and immune systems, use them.
Think for yourself and don't forget to take your vitamins.

12 Stop and smell the flowers, watch out for bees.
Slow down, live life and be careful.

The funny thing about these thoughts is that the ones we need tend to change depending on the day.
Something that barely registers today might be exactly what you need to hear a few months from now. That’s why we like keeping these little reminders around—and why we’ll probably keep sharing them.
If one stood out to you this week, hang onto it.
And if you need another one later, we’ll be here.
See you out there,

I Almost Threw Out My Keurig. It Wasn't Broken.
Every cup from my Keurig started tasting weak, flat, stale — so I unplugged it and stuck it in a closet. Then I learned the dirty secret of grocery store K-Cups: by the time a pod reaches your kitchen, it's usually spent months going from factory to warehouse to truck to shelf. The flavor oils are long gone. Some brands even over-roast to hide it.
The fix wasn't a new machine. It was fresh pods from Angelino's, a family-owned L.A. roastery that roasts, packs, and ships within 3–5 days — straight to your door, from 39¢ a cup. Over 1,000,000 happy customers. 50+ flavors, no subscription required, and 15% off your first order, applied automatically at checkout.
