Hi friends,

Guy has been doing a lot of thinking lately.

If you’re new around here, Guy is our stuffed bison and unofficial Zoe and Rich Out There travel companion. He’s been along for a lot of miles, scenic stops, questionable detours, and more than a few dashboard views, and somewhere along the way, he developed a personality of his own.

Granted, most of his thinking happens while sitting on a dashboard, staring out a window, or being carried around somewhere scenic. But every once in a while, he comes up with something worth sharing.

So instead of one thought this week, we’re handing things over to Guy.

Here are 10 little reminders about slowing down, getting outside, worrying less, and remembering that life probably doesn’t need to be quite as complicated as we make it.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Some of y’all need a weekend in the woods and less screen time.”

Most of us don’t need another productivity hack. We probably just need more quiet and fresh air.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Not every problem needs a life plan. Sometimes you just need snacks.”

Honestly… snacks solve more problems than people admit.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“The best travel days usually don’t go according to plan.”

Some of our favorite memories came from plans falling apart.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“You don’t need Wi-Fi to remember who you are.”

A little time offline can do wonders for the brain.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Your trip doesn’t need to be productive to be worth taking.”

Somewhere along the way, people started treating rest like it had to be earned.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Some places change you quietly.”

Certain places leave a mark on you long after you leave them.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“You don’t have to rush your life just because everyone else is rushing theirs.”

It’s okay if your timeline looks different from everyone else’s.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Some of y’all need a weekend in the woods and less screen time.”

Most of us don’t need another productivity hack. We probably just need more quiet and fresh air.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Sometimes the scenic route is the whole point.”

Sometimes getting there slowly is the better story.

🦬 GUY SAYS:

“Still waiting for humans to stop petting fluffy cows.”

Yellowstone reminder: If it’s shaped like a fluffy cow, give it space.

Guy will be back with more wisdom soon.

Until then, maybe take one of these as permission to slow down a little, go somewhere you haven’t been, stay outside a little longer, or just ignore your phone for an afternoon.

We’re going to try to do the same.

See you out there,

Zoe, Rich & Guy
